Using Marijuana Recreationally Now Legal In Alaska

Alaska became the third U.S state to legalize the use of marijuana on Tuesday joining Colorado and Washington.

Like in Colorado, voters approved marijuana legalization by a ballot in November and it became official on Tuesday. This means that marijuana can be used legally by persons 21 years of age or older in Alaska.
However, there are some limits in this law like the other two states such as: people cannot legally have more than 1ounce of marijuana on them, consume marijuana in public or while driving nor harvest more than 4 ounces in their home. At the moment, no one can make a living selling the drug due to previous regulations.
It is worth noting that marijuana remains an illegal narcotic under federal law.
