The Ramatu Ibironke Babalakin Foundation, on Monday commemorated the 40th year enthronement of the Emir of Zazzau and the 11th year memorial of Alhaja Ramatu Babalakin with the provision of eye treatment, glasses, and surgeries to more than 10000 people in Zaria, Kaduna State.
Dr. Wale Babalakin, son of the late Alhaja Ramatu, and former vice-chancellor of the University of Ilorin, is an Optometrist and renowned philanthropist who has provided similar free care to thousands of patients in Osun State and other western states.
The Emir expressed his gratitude to Dr. Wale during his speech, and asked his people to pray for the repose of the founder of the foundation.
