Girls rescued from Boko Haram to undergo HIV, pregnancy tests

The 293 females recently rescued by the Nigerian Military from Sambisa forest have been taken to the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH) for medical evaluation including HIV and pregnancy tests. Also, about 7 of the girls are currently receiving treatment for gunshot injuries.

The Nigerian Military have said the girls are not  the Chibok girls but from Bumisiri village in Borno state. Still, they will be carefully interrogated to determine the nature of their connection to Boko Haram without traumatizing them any further.

After all this, they will require serious psychological therapy to aid their recovery. Really sad!
