Tell an attractive woman by her voice

To hear her, regardless of what is being said, is to be touched, addressed, spoken to at a level beyond and deeper than the conscious.  Deep calls unto deep.  The unspeakable is heard and felt even when she simply answers the phone, “hello.”-   Curtis Beaird

Yes, men can tell an attractive woman just by listening to her voice, found a study.

The study co-author Markus Koppensteiner, an anthropologist from the University of Vienna said, 'people can make quite reliable guesses about women’s facial attractiveness on the basis of their voices.'

For the study, 42 female students were photographed and their voices recorded. Then, a group of men were asked to rate the photographs, and different group of men rated the voices.

The women whose photographs rated highly (for looks), were found to have an equally high rating for sound. The researchers also found women deemed the most attractive tended to have ‘lifted jawbones, less robust jaws and fuller lips’.

Thus, the study concluded attractive faces have attractive voices, and men can tell an attractive woman by her voice.

The study was published in the journal Evolution and Human Behaviour.

In a previous research carried out by Albright College in Pennsylvania, it was found that only women had the ability to make their voices more alluring.

They could lower the pitch of their voice and increase their hoarseness while men’s attempts to sound sexy failed.

Susan Hughes, associate professor of psychology at the university, said: “There is a stereotype of what is a sexual voice in our culture – a low, breathy voice.”

Oh well! Men have been falling for the famous "bedroom" voice since....... forever.
