Some skin products are not safe enough for your use, and sadly, this includes expensive skin care brands like Clarins.
The Daily Mail reports that although firms were warned by doctors that methylisothiazolinone – known as MI – could trigger rashes and swelling when added to leave-on cosmetics, shoppers are still being exposed.
MI, used as a preservative due to its powerful antibacterial and antifungal properties was outlawed two years ago in all cosmetics that are rubbed on and then left on the skin, and for its use to be dramatically reduced in rinse-off products such as shampoo.
Unfortunately, brands like Clarins, Palmer’s Cocoa Butter, Molton Brown, Decleor, Nivea and even a Vosene leave-on hair conditioner for children still contain the dangerous chemical.
If you use these products and become sensitised to MI, you would have to avoid MI completely or risk suffering increasingly severe allergic reactions.
See picture below for a list of products containing MI.
Remember to always rinse your skin thoroughly in order to eliminate all traces of chemicals and discontinue the use of any product you may be allergic to.
Stay healthy and beautiful.

This is a perfect beauty tip for skin without any side effects because it’s homemade. Take 1 tsp gram flour (besan), 2 tsp honey, 2 tsp glycerin and 3 tsp cream (bakery cream). Mix well all these things in a bowl and apply the paste on your face and neck as well for 15 minutes.Natie
