200 Shops Burn In Ibadan On Christmas Day

In what can be termed a Christmas disaster, 200 shops in the plank section of Sango Market, Ibadan were gutted by fire on Friday.

According to reports, the fire started around 3pm and was yet to be put out as at 8pm.

Vanguard reports that a vehicle belonging to the Oyo State Fire Service was seen rushing towards Eleyele Water Works for a refill when it ran out of water.

An estimated N250m worth of planks and equipment were lost in the fire and the cause of the fire remains undetermined.
