Gov. Oshiomhole praised for signing healthcare bill into law

The Health Reform Foundation of Nigeria (HERFON) has commended Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, for signing the Primary Health Care Development Agency into law

It said the law would help the state achieve the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) target by 2030.

Edo State Chairman of HERFON, Uwaifo James, who spoke at a press briefing to commemorate the 2015 Universal Health Coverage day, urged Governor Oshiomhole to urgently constitute members of the PHCDA.

But he warned that Nigerians might be denied the right to quality health care and protection from unnecessary financial risk if the barriers to achieving UHC were not removed.
