OAP Yaw Writes On Nigeria's Healthcare

Comedian and On-Air-Personality Yaw wrote the piece below on his Instagram page:

"I just went to the Texas Children Hospital, West Tower, 18 floor to check a friend from Nigeria whose is not a citizen but whose 15mouth old son is undergoing surgery.

"To my greatest shock he has spent like 4 months so far here. And his bill so far is $2.3m
Even if him tiff sef how many people him go rob.

Now this is the shocking thing.

He told them in the hospital that he couldn't pay such and he was advised to apply to the Charity Committee, that they would get someone for him to pay the bills, which he did and a man from no where agreed to pay up all the bill.

Ronald McDonald (the popular McDonald eatery) gave him accommodation for free, all he pays for is $25 per day to feed his wife, 2 other kids and himself, free shuttle to and fro the hospital.he did not buy toothpaste, toothbrush, no utility bill, diaper free, cloths free.

My question is why don't we have these kind of people and hospitals in Nigeria? When will our govt consider the Child as important as there pockets?

Do you know any such philanthropist or hospital in Nigeria so I can always refer people to...."
