A Nigeria-based young doctor has been nominated as a delegate of the World Medical Association to the United Nations Climate Change Conference for 2016 COP22
The final list of confirmed participants was released few week ago by Staff at the World Medical Association (WMA) headquarters in France.
WMA is the global federation of National Medical Associations of various countries,the organisation represent millions of doctors worldwide and also act on behalf of patients and physicians.
The WMA delegates list released include the following persons and country.

5.Sofia Lindegren - Sweden

Dr.Gbujie , is a seasoned environment activist and union leader within the medical profession, he was the Secretary General of National Association of Resident Doctors of Nigeria (NARD)2014 to 2015, believed to be one of the finest young intellectual minds to have come out of Nigeria and Africa.
He comes highly recommended by officials of the World Medical Association. An Associate Member of the World Medical Association, he is practising as a general oral surgeon and also the publication director of Junior Doctors’ Network Internationally. He developed a youth based initiative program in an NGO based in the Southeastern part of Nigeria called the SURE Health Organization, in which he is the chief medical volunteer, this youth based program communicates and collaborate with rural residents on climate change by giving an African perspective on how to mitigate and adapt to these climate changes.
He has been invited to present his work on climate change at the 6th international conference on climate change and humanity ICCCH 2017 Penang, Malaysia in January 2017 and 9th International Conference on Climate Change: impact and response, holding in Cambridge, UK by April 2017.
Gbujie is a member of the NextGen Climate, an international climate change NGO based in California, United States. advocating for a global action against climate change.
He believes that mankind has a moral obligation to protect the earth and help ensure that every individual shares the benefits of a better environment and a healthy climate. He has been reaching out to professionals across the globe and especially African youths on a lot of general health issues and climate change challenges and its impact on health.
His critical individual intellectual capacity to think is believed to be an added advantage to his country as proposed by his fellow colleagues across Africa, his work on climate change is believed to be a good investment in the future of climate change impact in health care in Nigeria and also Africa.
A professor of occupational & environmental Medicine Dr. Porris revealed that Individuals like him can make the country Nigeria and continent, better prepared for climate change challenge especially as they bring an African perspective to climate change, a lot of developing and poor nations in Africa and across the globe seem to be the area of worse hit by climate change effects from the record available he said"
The UN Conference tagged " Marrakech Climate Change Conference", is the twenty-second session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 22) and the 12th session of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (CMP 12) will hold in Bab Ighli Palace,Morocco.
Gbujie will be the only African in this year's delegation from the World Medical Association to the United Nations conference making him the first African to be nominated to any COP engagement by the WMA.
This is wishing him a great outing and congratulatory message for making Nigeria and Africa proud.
The various African government should find ways to encourage young men and women to advance the African perspective on a global issue, at of brilliant brains like him are scattered all over the continent of Africa looking for opportunity or platform to express themselves.
