"10-year-old girl was playing with a friend and accidentally hit her head. She came home and had symptoms of vomiting, nausea and headache.

Five hours later, she arrived at the hospital. A CT scan was performed and it showed she had developed a Left Fronto-Parietal Epidural Hematoma.

The volume of blood (hematoma) was calculated to be 58ml and its thickness 2.7cm.
Evacuation (removal) and Hemostasis (hemorrhage was stopped) were performed using a left-temporo-parietal craniotomy.

Outcome: the surgery was very successful, lasted two hours, there were no complications, and there was intraoperative bleeding of 180ml. Patient was discharged two days post operation."
